4.10. SMC1 and SMC2 serial ports 

 
One of these general-purpose serial ports is available on the front panel RJ-45 connector. 
The other one is available on an internal connector.  
These serial ports can be typically uses as system console ports.  
 
Note that this type of port has no hardware flow control capability.

ACTIS can provide a serial cable for this Console port. Its reference is CAB-RJ45-DB9. 
This DTE cable connects the VSBC-6862's Console port (SMC) to a standard PC serial port in RS-232
