4.3 Setting the generator
wavelength
Use the “850 1300” key to set the generator
wavelength. There are three possible selections
(scrolling function). For single-wavelength
operation, you can choose “850” or “1300”. The
third selection (“dUAL”) is provided for dual-
wavelength operation.
4.3.1 Single-wavelength operation
If your attenuation measurements require a
source signal at a
single wavelength, you can
operate the OLS-5 as a single-wavelength
source.
In single-wavelength mode, you can transmit
unmodulated light or apply a modulation
frequency; see Sec. 4.2.
Set the output wavelength as follows

Press the “850 1300” key until the desired
wavelength is displayed.
