Sometimes odorous gases blow out of units because tobacco smoke, cosmetic odor, and odors from furniture and electrical
appliances are taken into the units. You may hear fizzles when the air conditioner is cooling, heating, started, or stopped. The
sounds are generated when refrigerant flows in the unit.
