B1.3 General instructions for installation
-
Once the packaging has been removed, make sure the device is intact. If in doubt, do not
use it and contact the supplier. Make sure that all listed parts are present.
-
The manufacturer guarantees the performance reported in this manual provided that the
device is used and maintained in the manner indicated.
The implementation and modification of a water distribution system intended for human consumption
require the execution of interventions in such a way as not to compromise the hygiene of the system.
Before installing the filter, thoroughly clean the pipes and equipment installed upstream of the filter
to eliminate any foreign bodies that could cause the filter to malfunction. After its manufacture or
modification, the water distribution system intended for human consumption must be subjected to
washing in accordance with the requirements of the EN 806-4 standards.
Attention!
Inadequate use, inappropriate hygienic conditions and incorrect installation and
maintenance interventions can lead to contamination of drinking water, damage to the
equipment, leaks and damage caused by water.
B1.4 Hydraulic checks after installation
6. Check that the equipment is correctly positioned in order to facilitate routine maintenance
operations.
7. Check that there is a by-pass circuit that allows the exclusion of the filter and that there are
taps to take sample before and after the filter.
8. Open the shut-off valves upstream and downstream of the filter. Open the tap closest to
downstream of the filter; in this way, the filter will eliminate the air contained inside.
9. Check for any leaks from the filter.
10. Turn the date dial until the next backwash date is displayed.
