3.3 Installation in above ground pipes (without shaft system)
1.
Fix body in local shaft or freely accessible e. g. at wall.
3.
The operating seal flap can be opened and closed manually by tur-
ning the construction period protection of the motor shaft (fig. 8).
4.
Connect pipes to anti-flood protection system as per relevant instal-
lation instructions (plastic, steel, cast iron or stoneware) (fig. 9).
5.
If the pipe is laid along a wall, two pipe mountings have to be fitted
around the pipe shortly before and shortly behind the anti-flood pro-
tection system and to be fixed to the wall. For proper operation, the
emergency seal and the operating seal must be open (lever position
“1”
)!
The emergency seal serves as additional safety. The second flap
can be locked manually with the help of it.
It must be observed that the emergency seal is re-opened, e. g.
following vacation (fig. 10).
For detailed function of the emergency seal, refer to chapter 2.8,
fig. 4.
Drop in height 12 mm.
Caution!
2.
Fit body in flow direction and align horizontally. Body may not be
installed tilted - neither to the side nor to the front or to the back
(fig. 8). The individual parts (flap, cover etc.) may not be soiled by
building materials and thus affected in their functioning.
Caution!
Do not cast body into concrete.
