Positioning
Magnetic switches are usually located at the
top of the monitored door on the doorstop.
The part that contains the switch is mounted
on the header or door frame, while the part
that contains the activating magnet is mounted
on the door itself (Figure 4.3). A recessed
model is also available.
For simplicity, in this manual the term
Magnetic Switch will reference the entire switch
as a unit, not just the parts that contain the
contacts.
Position the magnetic switch so that it is
nearest the latch side of the door. If a magnetic
lock is used, the switch should be the one
mounted closest to the latch side.

Magnetic Switches (Part #650514; Figure 4.1)
are used on doors where alarm activation is
not desired unless the zone's door is opened
while a tag is in that zone's Tx activation field.
