CAUSE
a. A test error has occurred.
b. There is electromagnetic
interference.
a. The test strip was forcibly
removed during testing.
b. The strip was bent during
contact with blood or controls,
or during measurement.
c. Optic cover is not completely
snapped on.
The test strip is stuck in the
guide.
a. Repeat the test.
b. Move away from possible sources of interference.
Such electromagnetic fields can occur in the open
near transmitters (CB radio, radio, television) in the
household near electrical equipment (microwave
ovens, poorly suppressed electrical equipment), and
particularly near mobile phones.
a. Repeat the test, this time releasing the strip by using
the
TEST
button.
b. Repeat the test.
c. Snap the cover on (see pages 88-90).
Pull the strip out of the meter. Carefully open the test
drum compartment and remove the test drum. Reinsert
the test drum. Close the test drum compartment. Keep
the use-by period in mind when reusing the test drum
because the 90-day use-by counter in the meter is no
longer correct.
