If this happens …
it means:
The clock has stopped
or
the clock is slow.
The meter was exposed to a tem-
perature below –10 °C and the bat-
teries are beginning to freeze. Turn
the meter off. Let it warm up slowly.
Always keep the meter and batter-
ies at temperatures between -10 °C
and +50 °C (with test strip drum:
b2 °C and +30 °C).
When the meter is turned
on, the clock shows 0:00 or
12.00 a.m.
The meter was exposed to a tem-
perature below -10 °C and the bat-

empty. Insert a new test strip drum.
You inserted a partly used test strip

You opened the drum compartment.
You took longer than two minutes
to replace the batteries (the year,
date and time settings are lost) and
a partly used drum remained in the
meter.
You adopted the bar code from the
preceding drum, as the bar code on
the drum that is inserted is damaged
(see error message
E-2
).
