Chapter 5: Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Changing the Battery
1.
Open the battery door on the back of the meter by pushing
the tab in the direction of the arrow and pulling the door up.
Remove the old battery.
2.
Insert the new battery with the + side up.
3.
Put the battery door back in place and snap it closed.
Notes:
• The meter uses one 3-volt
lithium battery, type CR
2032. This type of battery
can be found in many
stores. It is a good idea
to have a spare battery
on hand.
• Be sure the battery goes
in + side up or facing you.
• After you change the
battery, your meter
prompts you to confirm
the meter’s time and date
settings. See Chapter 1
“Adjusting the Time and
Date.” All test results are
still stored in memory.
