Create
Create a RAID array manually.
The following RAID types can be
used: RAID0, RAID1, RAID5,
RAID10.
Hot spare
Free data storage devices which
are not assigned to a RAID array
can be defined as "hot spares".
These data storage devices are
not used by the system initially. If
there is an error in a disk which
is part of a RAID array, the hot
spare data storage device is im-
mediately activated for use.
TAP array
This view shows the current status of the RAID array.
The following actions can be performed:
Parameter
Setting
Rebuild
Carry out a manual rebuild of the
array. This rebuilds the data
structure of the RAID array.
Delete
Delete the RAID array. This ren-
ders the data storage devices
"free" again, such that they can
be used for RAID configurations
again.
Note
If you would like to learn more about using RAID,
we advise you to consult specialist literature on
the subject.
