Montage - Assembly
Montage-Tipps:
Bitte konsultieren Sie einen Servicetechniker oder
Gitarrenbauer, falls Sie noch nie ein Tremolo
montiert haben, die notwendigen Aufgaben und
Werkzeuge nicht kennen, oder sich schlichtweg in
deren Ausführung und Anwendung unsicher fühlen.
Vor der Montage des 6-Punkt Tremolo vergleichen
Sie bitte die Länge der beiliegenden Montage-
schrauben mit den bisher verbauten Typen. Ab-
weichend vom Standard verwenden Gitarren-
hersteller teilweise kürzere Schrauben. Diese
Instrumente haben oft eine geringere Korpustiefe,
so dass der verbleibende Bereich zwischen Korpus-
Oberseite und Federfach-Boden flacher ausfällt. So
können die Schrauben das Federfach durchstoßen.
Auch die Montage-Bohrungen sollten im Vorab
geprüft werden. Nur exakt & rechtwinklig zum
Korpus gesetzte Bohrungen garantieren die Funktion
des Tremolos. Vorhandene Bohrungen können durch
langjährige Nutzung geweitet sein. Im Zweifelsfall
bitte vom Fachmann schließen & neu bohren lassen.
Die Lagerschrauben bei 6-Punkt Montage nur so tief
hinein drehen, dass die Tremolo Grundplatte bei
maximalem Tremolo-Weg nicht an die Unterseite der
Schraubenköpfe stößt. Mit den Schrauben wird nicht
die grundlegende Saitenlage eingestellt (Ausnahme
5050-U). Das wird später über die Reiter-Justage
erledigt.
Da zunächst keine Saiten montiert sind, wird die
Tremolo-Grundplatte durch den Zug der Tremolo-
Federn auf den Gitarrenkorpus gedrückt. So ent-
stehen leicht Abdrücke & Kratzer im Lack! Schützen
Sie den Bereich während der Montage besonders!
Bei der 2-Punkt Montage des 5050-U, kann das
Tremolo beim Einsetzen der Federn durch deren Zug
aus den Montage-Bolzen gehebelt werden, solange
die Saiten noch nicht aufgezogen sind. Hier ist
besondere Vorsicht geboten.
Vor allem das gleichzeitige Einsetzen der Einheit und
der Tremolo-Federn birgt ein Verletzungsrisiko in
sich und kann Ihr Instrument beschädigen.
Hier hilft das „4-Hände“ Prinzip, also Hilfe einer 2.
Person, oder Sie nutzen Haltewerkzeuge.
Mounting Tips:
Please consult a service technician or a luthier if you
have never installed a tremolo, if you are unfamiliar
with the necessary tasks and tools, or if you simply
feel insecure in their execution and practise.
Before mounting a 6-pivot tremolo, please compare
the length of the enclosed mounting screws with the
previously installed types. Deviating from the
standard, some guitar manufacturers use shorter
screws. These instruments often have a lower body
depth. So the remaining area between the upper side
of the body and the ground of the spring cavity is not
deep enough to carry standard long screws. This fact
allows the screws to pierce the spring cavity.
Please check the mounting bores in advance. Only
exactly, and at right angled to the body set holes,
guarantee a perfect function of the tremolo. Existing
bores can be widened by years of use. If in doubt,
these should be closed and redrilled by the expert.
6-pivot mounting: Please screw the bearing screws in
so far, that the tremolo plate does not hit the
underside of the screw heads by maximum tremolo
travel. The bearing screws do not adjust the height
position of the strings (exception 5050-U). This will be
done later by the saddle adjustment.
Since no strings are initially mounted, the tremolo
plate is forced by the tension of tremolo springs onto
the guitar body. This can cause marks and scratches in
the lacquer. Please protect the area during assembly
especially!
2-point mounting (5050-U): The tremolo can be
levered out of the mounting bolt by the tension of the
springs, which are inserted, as long as the strings are
not wound up yet. Here special care is required.
Especially the simultaneous insertion of the unit and
the tremolo springs pose a risk of injury and can
damage your instrument.
Here, the "4-hands" principle always helps. It is good
to have a second person for help. Or you may use
appropriate holding tools.
