Recording IR Channels from another Transmitter
Make sure the batteries in both transmitters are fully charged. Do not use the transmitters in
intense light (e.g., sunlight) when programming.
Place the two transmitters on a table with the original transmitter directed towards the rear
of your Control 18, see picture.
1. Choose the level where the channels are to be recorded with
---
. Only one level at a time can be programmed.
2. Press
P
and

at the same time. The indication lamp on
button 1 and the present level now flashes.
To check that the transmitters are in the right position, keep
any button pressed on the original transmitter. The indication
lamp for the
Level
-button now flashes green. Move the
original transmitter to the left or to the right until the
indication lamp goes out. Then move the original transmitter
backwards until the indication lamp goes out (one meter for
certain transmitters). Place the original transmitter centrally
between these positions. Certain types of transmitters only
emit a short flash each time the button is pressed. In these
cases, press several times.
3. Press and release the button
X
on Control 18, which is to
be programmed. The indication lamp for the
Level
-button
now emits a steady orange light.
4. Keep the corresponding button
Y
on the original transmitter
pressed. Release the button when the indication lamp for the
Level
-button goes green. It might take up to 10 seconds.
If the indication lamp goes orange again press the button
one or more times until the light flashes green and goes out.
If the indication lamp flashes red the programming has failed.
Try once more from step 2.
If a beep is heard
the level is locked and no
programming can be made. See section
5. If the programming of the first button was successful, repeat
steps 3 and 4 until all buttons are programmed. Finish by
pressing
---
.
6. The light for the
Level
-button flashes green to indicate that
the programming is complete.
7. Now test the programmed functions on the device which is to
be controlled.
