MAG 1 Identification
1 Identification
The MAG welding torch is used in industry and in the trade for welding using
active gases (MAG). It is available as machine-operated torches and can be
used in all welding positions. These operating instructions describe MAG
welding torches AUTC 61GD, AUT 610D. The MAG welding torches may only
be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
1.1 EU Declaration of Conformity
according to EC Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EEC, Annex III.

hereby declare that, on the basis of their design and construction, the MAG
welding torches described in these operating instructions comply with the basic
safety and health requirements of the EC directive. Any modification not
agreed with us will void this declaration.
1.2 Responsibilities of the User
Within the EEA (European Economic Area) the current version of the national
implementation of the Framework Directive (89/391/EEC) and the related
individual directives and, of these, especially Directive (89/655/EEC)
concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work
equipment by workers at work must be adhered to. In Germany, the Job
Protection Law and the Company Safety Ordinance must be heeded. In
addition, the operator must ensure that the welding torches in connection with
welding units comply with the EC EMC Directive (04/108/EC) and that the
signal utilisation of the integrated welding current monitoring against stray
currents is installed properly.
2 Product Description
2.1 Designated Use
The MAG welding torch is preferably used for welding of commercially
available round wires in machine.
Designated use also includes the observance of the prescribed operating,
maintenance and servicing conditions.
