6 Startup and Commissioning 2000 advanced/2000
1 Plug in the power plug.
2 Open the water inlet (1) (press to open).
3 Open the cap (3) on the coolant filling pipe (2).
4 Fill the cooling unit with ABICOR BINZEL BTC coolant up to the maximum level mark on the cooling tank, and
do not close the cap (It is more convenient to use a funnel when adding coolant).
5 Connect the coolant filter (4) to the coolant return pipe (red) (5);
6 Connect the coolant hose of the equipment that needs to be cooled to the cooling unit;
7 Turn on the On/Off switch (6);
8 Observe the coolant level indicator, and when the level drops, add coolant in a timely manner until it reaches the
maximum level mark on the coolant tank;
9 According to the actual situation, repeat Step 8 until the coolant is distributed throughout the entire coolant
circulation loop and the maximum level is reached.
10 Close the cap (3).
CAUTION
Damage caused by unsuitable and conductive coolants is not covered by the warranty.
• Prior to refilling the cooling system with BTC coolant, the system must be rinsed with clean water to remove any
residues.
• If other coolants are used, they must not contain any aggressive, abrasive or resinous components.
• If
ABICOR BINZEL
BTC coolant is not available, deionized water (permitted operating tempe5°C to
+40°C) or, after cleaning the device, a mixture of 25% monoethylene glycol and 75% deionized water (permitted
operating temperature -10°C to +40°C) can be used.
NOTICE
• Make sure that the coolant supply and return pipes have been installed properly.
Coolant supply pipe = blue, coolant return pipe = red.
• For liquid-cooled welding torches, we recommend using
ABICOR BINZEL
BTC coolant.
• To ensure the maximum cooling capacity, check the condition of the coolant regularly.
NOTICE
• Contamination of the coolant may cause damage to the cooling unit.
• Use a coolant filter (included) to avoid damage to the cooling unit.
•
ABICOR BINZEL
is not responsible for warranty for various damages caused by using the cooling unit without
a coolant filter.
6.3.1 Venting
Optimum cooling is only guaranteed if the air has been vented from the entire cooling system. Vent the entire
cooling system as follows when used for the first time and after every cable assembly replacement:
1 Connect the coolant hose connecting the cable assembly to the cooling unit and make sure that the entire coolant
circulation loop is closed.
2 Switch on the cooling on the front of the unit.
3 Disconnect the coolant return hose from the cooling unit and fix it over a collection receptacle.
4 Close the coolant return hose and release it again by repeatedly and abruptly opening it.
