Indication messages
8.2.1
Internal faults
When the Ready LED indicates an internal fault by flashing, the message
associated with the fault is found in the internal event list in the LHMI menu
Main
menu/Diagnostics/Internal events
. The message includes the date, time,
description and signal state for the fault. The internal event list is not updated
dynamically. The list is updated by leaving the
Internal events
menu and then
selecting it again. The current status of the internal fault signals can also be
checked via the LHMI in
Main menu/Diagnostics/IED status
.
Different actions are taken depending on the severity of the fault. After the fault is
found to be permanent, the IED stays in internal fault mode. The IED continues to
perform internal tests during the fault situation.
When a fault appears, the fault indication message is to be recorded and stated
when ordering service.
