OUTDOOR TESTING AND USE 
1. Rotate  the  VOLUME  switch  clockwise  away  from  OFF  to 

power on the detector.   

2. Follow the steps of 2 described in 

section

 of Indoor Tes

ti

ng 

and Use to set the opera

ting

 mode. 

3. Find an area on the 

g

round outside where there is no metal. 

4. Place a sample of the material you want the detector to 

find

 

(such as a

 or a coin) on the

round. 

Note:
