OMM in RFP mode
There is no initialisation difference between the RFP declared as OMM and the others. This RFP
is OMM dedicated through DHCP request.
OMM in host mode
In this case the OMM software has to be installed on the PC running with Red Hat Linux. The
network parameters with which the OMM works in this mode depend on this PC’s network
configuration.
ATTENTION :
Check that the versions of the OMM and RFP software on your IP DECT
installation are the same.

NSTALLING THE
OMM
SOFTWARE
The OMM software is available as a Red Hat Package Manager (RPM). You have to login as a
root user, if you are going to install the OMM.

For the first OMM type installation:
rpm –i
omm_matra-<version-date>.i586.rpm
.
To upgrade the OMM with a new version type:
rpm –U
omm_matra-<version-
date>.i586.rpm
To delete the OMM installation type:
rpm –e omm_matra
.
If you wish to verify the installation type:
rpm –qi omm_matra
.
After the install procedure you can start the OMM with the command:
/etc/init.d/omm_matra start

ONFIGURING THE START PARAMETERS
Some basic data for initializing the OMM are stored in the file ‘/etc/sysconfig/omm_matra’. It has
to be edited, if you wish to change the OMM interface:
