This section provides new features in the 6739i IP Phone Release 3.0.1. Each feature specifies
whether it affects the Administrator, the User, or both.

New <Hide> Key on the
QWERTY Keyboard
(User and Administrator)
The 6739i pop-up keyboard on the phone (QWERTY keyboard) now has a “Hide” key.
Configuration Feature
Support for Enabling/Disabling
Service Menu Options
(Administrator)
An Administrator can now enable/disable the Do Not Disturb (DND) and the Call
Forward (CFWD) options on the Services Menu using configuration parameters in the
configuration files.
New Parameter for Configurable
Contact Header Matching
(Administrator)
An Administrator can now specify whether or not to use configurable SIP contact
header matching on the IP Phones using the following new parameter in the
configuration files:
sip contact matching

XML Feature
Support for XML Phone Execute
Keypress Simulation
(Administrator)
An Administrator can now specify an XML Key Execute command that allows you to
perform keypress simulations on the IP Phone. An Administrator can use this keypress
simulation for testing purposes as required.
Support for XML Scripts
Overriding Native Features
(Administrator)
The phone now supports Redial, Directory, and Call List XML scripts.
Support for Multiple Input Fields

The 6739i now supports multiple input fields when using the XML object
“AastraIPPhoneInputScreen”.

UTF-8 is now the default
encoding schema

The 6739i now expects UTF-8 encoded messages instead of ISO-8859-1.
