13.3. Troubleshooting
1. What to check if your results are not as expected.
– Use the self-test function.
– Check the repeatability by weighing same weight several times and comparing the readings
2. What to check if the halogen lamp does not light or the time to reach temperature is too
long.
– Check that the heater cover is properly closed. The lamp will not light if it
is open.
– When overheated, power is not supplied to the halogen lamp until the
halogen lamp becomes cool.
– Check that the rated voltage of the halogen lamp is correct.
– Read the power supply voltage label on the back of the heater cover and
confirm that the rated voltage of the halogen lamp is correct for your power
supply voltage.
– Has a fuse blown? Check the fuses after removing the power cord. Check the rated value and put
new fuses into the correct holders.
– Are you setting a lower drying temperature after a high drying temperature? If the lamp is hotter than
the drying temperature set, the measurement can not be started.
– Check that the sample pan is cool.
– The halogen lamp may be defective. Replace with a new halogen lamp.
Refer to "13.1.1. Replacement of the Halogen Lamp".
