Your A. O . Smith W ater Hea ter is w arran ted against def ects ar ising from fault y design,
wor kmanship and ma ter ials for a per iod of 24 months fr om the date of the in voic e,
subject t o the follo wing conditions:
1. T he customer will notify the C ompany pr omptly about defec ts noticed and g ive the
Compan y or its Author ised Ser vice P ro vider adequate oppor tunity t o inspect, t est
and remedy them, f or which the customer will deposit the goods , if necessar y, with
the Compan y’s O ffice/A uthorised S ervic e Pro vider along with the orig inal invoic e.
2. Special w arran ty fr om the date of pur chase is only applicable for the belo w
mentioned c omponents:

* Register y our pro duct with the A. O . Smith Cust omer Car e Centr e [1800-103-2468/1860-
500-2468] within 60 days of purchase and y ou will get an extended w arrant y on the
element [from 2 y ears to 4 y ears].
3. Inspec tion and Test R eport of the C ompany ’s O ffice/A uthorised S ervic e Pro vider
will be trea ted as final and binding under the w arran ty f or deter mining the defec ts,
repairs/alt era tions requir ed or carried out , or cer tifying wor king of the goods
thereaf ter .
4. T he Compan y or its Author ised Ser vice P ro vider will be entitled t o retain an y
defec tive par t replac ed under the war ran ty.
5. T he Compan y’s liabilit y under the war ran ty will be limit ed only to def ects which
occur under c onditions of proper installa tion, normal oper ation and under pr oper
use. I t excludes def ects oc curring because of abuse , faulty car e or maintenanc e and
repairs/alt era tions to pr oduct or the par ts by an unauthor ised person.
6. T he W ater Hea ter should not be oper ated without w ater inside the tank . This will
make the war ran ty null and v oid.
7. In case of dr y heating ( Wat er Heater oper ated without w ater inside the tank), if the
Wat er Heater or an y componen t of the W ater Hea ter is damaged , then it will be
repair ed/changed on a chargeable basis . Aft er any r epair or part r eplacemen t in the
Wat er Heater , the basic war ran ty c ontinues as per the ac tual date of pur chase.
8. T he customer will ha ve no claim under this w arran ty in r espect of an y personal
injury, damage of pr operty or c onsequential damages , or for utilisa tion of the goods
not in accor dance with the user guide .
9. T he inner tank and Heating Elemen t need to be cleaned f or any deposits/scales
periodically fr om an Author ised Ser vice Technician. This will ensur e your Wat er
Heater w orks efficien tly for longer time .
10. A node is not included under war ran ty, the ser vice lif e of the Anode is det ermined
by the qualit y and quantit y of the wa ter o wing through. I f the Anode is c onsumed,
it needs to be r eplaced b y an Author ised Ser vice Technician f or efficient pr otec tion
of the W ater Hea ter . The w arran ty on the tank will be null and v oid,

If the A node is remo ved .
•
If the A node is not replac ed as and when requir ed.
11. W arran ty does not c over :
•
Plastic par ts.
•
Cleaning of scale deposits inside W ater Hea ter tank as a gener al servic e.
•
An y damages to Wat er Heater oc curring due t o site c onditions like electr ical wor ks
and plumbing wor ks.
•
Damage to Wat er Heater or its sur roundings due t o non usage of Multi-func tion
Saf ety v alve , Pressur e Reducing Valv e or non-rec ommended reducing v alve in
plumbing lines.
•
Produc t installed in direc t sunlight e xposure or r ain or non-servic eable areas (R efer
User M anual).
•
Damage to Wat er Heater a t customer house dur ing installation or ser viceable
proc edures b y Unauthorised S ervic e Technician.
•
An y servic e rela ted issues/r eplacemen ts due to non A. O . Smith connec ting hoses.
12. C alls which are r elated t o the site e .g. plumbing , tap leakage , electr icity et c., but
not rela ted t o the produc t functionalit y will be charged t o the customer as per r ate
card* (ev en during the w arran ty per iod).
