1.3.7 Setting the air valve
This section is applicable for heaters equipped with either
gas-fired burners or oil-fired burners.
The air valve is set as a function of the water heater’s
required flow rate. During the commissioning of the water
heater, the position of the air valve must be set to the
value stated in the table below. Please refer also to the
burner’s instruction manual.
The setting of the air valve for Riello front-mounted
burners is as follows:
The values above are recommended settings and have
been determined under laboratory conditions.
Make sure that the CO
2
figure is lower than 10% for G20
and G25, and lower than 12% for G30 and G31. A
maximum CO
2
figure of 12.5% applies to oil. If the CO
2
figure does not meet the requirements after the air valve
has been set, the latter must be readjusted.
