2. Align the battery pole markings on the battery adapter with
the markings in the battery compartment.
3. Put the upper part of the adapter against the 2 upper springs
in the battery compartment. Align the protrusions on the
Adapter into the center openings of the springs.
4. Push back on the adapter to compress the upper springs.
5. Insert the lower part of the adapter towards the lower spring
in the battery compartment. Align the protrusion on the
Adapter into the center opening of the spring.
6. Carefully press the middle part of the battery adapter to lock
it into place.
7.4. CHARGING USING USB CHARGING
CABLE
1. Open the battery lid over the USB-C charging port. Refer to
“5. Overview”.
2. Insert the USB-C connector of the cable into the charging
port.
3. Insert the USB-C connector of the cable into a USB power
source.
Note: The USB-C charging port is the primary charging source.
The charging case will always choose the USB-C charging port
instead of batteries if both power sources are available.

Note : If using an external power supply for charging the
earplugs, only connect to a listed power supply certified
according to IEC/UL/CSA 62368-1 or an equivalent local safety
standard. The power supply shall have a rated output of 5 Vdc,
200 mA (minimum).
8. TO FIT THE EARPLUGS
8.1. TO SELECT THE CORRECT SIZE OF THE
EARTIP
The packaging includes 3 sizes of 3M UltraFit Communication
Eartips (1 pair of each size), 1 pair of 3M Skull Screw
Communication Eartips, and 1 pair of 3M PELTOR
CCC-GRM-25 Communication Eartips. An optional use
retention cord is also provided.
Use only 3M™ PELTOR™ eartips designed for use with this
product. Do not insert the earpiece directly into the ear without
a correctly attached 3M™ eartip.
8.1.1. 3M ULTRAFIT COMMUNICATION EARTIPS
1. To choose the appropriate 3M UltraFit Communication eartip
size, begin with the medium size.
2. Ensure that it is small enough to penetrate the ear canal and
provide a secure fit, but it is also large enough that at least
one flange seals the ear canal at the canal entrance.
3. If the medium size does not provide a proper fit, proceed
with the small or large size eartips as these were designed
to fit users for whom the medium size is not suitable.
8.1.2. 3M SKULL SCREW AND 3M CCC-GRM-25
COMMUNICATION EARTIPS
With the 3M Skull Screw and 3M CCC-GRM-25 Communication
Eartips, one size is intended to fit most.
• WARNING! Do not use product if the proper size and fit
cannot be obtained.
