9.0 Splice Frame Block Tails to Field

1. Dress field cable to complete an up and
down loop of conductors
2. Allow sufficient length to splice to modules
stored in back of frame
3. Secure conductor loops to cable tie rack in
back of cabinet
4. Splice the field cable to the block tails per
your company practice
5. Use 3M
™
Cable Ties to store the completed
binders of splice modules in the back of the
frame
NOTE: Allow adequate loop length to allow the frames
to pivot down

Blocks Using Number Labels
10.1 Remove protector tape from identification pads
on the blocks in the cabinet.
10.2 Select labels: blue for distribution or green for
feeder. Detach a strip of 20 labels with your
count from sheet. Carefully remove protective
backing from strip.
10.3 Align the proper number, such as 1-11-21, etc.,
with the block pads on left and press into place.
Align numbers, such as 10-20-30, etc. with right
side block pads and press into place. Remove
the top liner of the numbers.
10.4 Fill in binding post log on the cabinet door with
the cable pair count information.

11.1 Open feeder pair jumper cap by pushing up on
latch and rotating up. Insert jumper wire ends A
(tip) left and B (ring) right into wire openings in
cap, making sure they are inserted all the way to
the back of the cap.
