Reader Startup Tool (RST)

The Reader Startup Tool (RST) provides an easy-to-use interface for the 3M
Compact RFID Reader 1000 configuration and operation functions. This
application resides on your Windows based computer and allows you to
perform the following:



View all readers on the network



Launch the

Reader Setup Wizard

to configure a reader



View and change a reader’s network settings



Add a new reader to the network



Launch

Reader Test Tool

to perform basic reader/tag operations



Launch

Reader Diagnostic Tool

to view statistics, alarms, and reports

When RST starts up, all readers currently connected to the network and
