Make sure the platform is nice and toasty! (do a previous print or two and keep the
platform heated after printing) – Keep the extruder door closed during printing.

Keep the printer away from any breezes, air con, this cools the model to fast.

Print hollow - The less mass of plastic the less heat in the centre, the less warping.

Print the object with the least surface area on the platform, creates more support but
more successful printing and saves material in the long run.

Print closer to the Perfboard – Move the nozzle closer to the platform.

Keep the Perfboard smooth - Clean the perfboard, by scrapping off the surface and en-
suring it’s kept clean and smooth on both sides. (no need to remove the plastic inside the
holes)

Large parts - For large parts, ensure the platform is super toasty.

Regularly check your platform height! It can change for a number of reasons, some of
which you may not even be aware of. To check your nozzle height, refer to section 3.3.2
14. Troubleshooting
If the printer has an error, most problems will be indicated on the bottom right of the screen.
Problem or error message Solution
No power Verify power cord is securely plugged in.
Extruder or platform fails to
reach operating temperature
1. Verify printer has initialised. If not, initialise the printer
2. Heater is damaged, replace the heater
3. Error “Platform too hot’ or “Platform to cold”
Material not extruding
Material is stuck in the extruder. See 3.3.3 Maintain (Extrude)
The gap is too wide between the bearing and wire feed rollers.
Cannot communicate with
printer
1. Make sure the USB cable is connected to the printer, and to
the PC
2. Unplug the USB cable, then plug in again.
3. Reset the printer—power off then power on.
4. Restart the PC
5. Make sure in Device Manager in Windows that the printer
driver is correctly installed.
6. Try with a different USB cable and with a different PC.
7. If using a USB Hub, try without it.
Nozzle too cool
1. Close the vent door on the extruder head
2. Check in maintenance of the extruder temperature and
contact support.
Platform too cool 1. Check in maintenance of the platform temperature and
