Descrizione del termometro
Importanti misure precauzionali
Seguire le istruzioni d'uso. Questo manuale contiene informazioni
importanti sul funzionamento e la sicurezza di questo dispositivo. Si
prega di leggere attentamente le istruzioni d'uso prima di utilizzare il
dispositivo e di conservarle per ogni futura consultazione.
Lo strumento serve esclusivamente per la misurazione della tempe-
ratura corporea!
Il tempo di misurazione minimo, fino al beep, deve essere sempre
rispettato senza eccezioni!
Assicurarsi che i bambini non utilizzino il dispositivo senza la super-
visione di un adulto. Alcune parti sono piccole e potrebbero essere
ingerite. Prestare attenzione al rischio di strangolamento in
presenza di cavi o tubi.
Non usare il dispositivo vicino a forti campi elettromagnetici come tele-
foni cellulari o installazioni radio. Mantenere una distanza minima di
3,3 m da altri apparecchi quando si utilizza questo dispositivo.
Proteggere lo strumento da urti e cadute!
Non piegare la sonda oltre i 45°!
Evitare temperature ambientali superiori ai 60°C: NON IMMERGERE
lo strumento in acqua bollente!
Usare solo i disinfettanti elencati nella sezione «Pulizia e disinfezione»
per pulire lo strumento. Lo strumento deve essere intatto quando lo si
immerge nel liquido disinfettante.
Raccomandiamo di testare lo strumento ogni due anni oppure dopo
un impatto meccanico (ad es. caduta) per verificarne la precisione.
Si prega di contattare il servizio Microlife per effettuare le verifiche.

non rappresenta una diagnosi! Non fare affidamento solo sulla
misurazione.
Le batterie e gli strumenti elettronici devono essere smaltiti
in conformità alle disposizioni locali e non come i rifiuti
domestici.
Leggere attentamente le istruzioni prima di usare questo
dispositivo.

Accensione del termometro
Per accendere il termometro, premere il pulsante ON/OFF

; un breve
segnale acustico, beep, indica che il «termometro è acceso». Viene
eseguito un test del display. Tutte le icone devono apparire sul display.
Quando la temperatura ambiente è inferiore a 32 °C comparirà sul
display

«
L
» e in alto a destra una «
°C
» lampeggerà. Il termometro
è ora pronto per l'uso.
Autotest di funzionamento
Il regolare funzionamento del termometro viene controllato ogni volta
che si accende. Se nell’autotest di funzionamento viene individuata
una disfunzione (inesattezza della misurazione), comparirà «
ERR
»
sul display e non sarà possibile procedere alla misurazione. In questo
caso, il termometro deve essere sostituito.
Uso del termometro
Utilizzare il metodo preferito. Quando si effettua una misurazione, la
temperatura rilevata viene continuamente visualizzata ed il simbolo
«
°C
» lampeggia. Quando verrà emesso il segnale acustico beep per
10 volte ed il simbolo «
°C
» smette di lampeggiare significa che l’incre-
mento della temperatura è inferiore a 0.1°C in 16 secondi e che il
termometro è pronto per la lettura.
Per prolungare la durata della batteria, spegnere il termometro dopo
l’uso premendo brevemente il tasto ON/OFF

. In ogni caso il termo-
metro si spegnerà automaticamente dopo circa 10 minuti.
Registrazione dei valori misurati
Se si tiene premuto il pulsante ON/OFF
1
per più di 3 secondi quando
si accende il termometro comparirà automaticamente sul display la
temperatura registrata durante l’ultima misurazione e una piccola «
M
»
indicherà che la lettura è di un dato in memoria. Circa 3 secondi dopo
aver rilasciato il pulsante il valore della temperatura scompare ed il
termometro è pronto per la misurazione.
Tipi di misurazione / Temperatura corporea normale
Orale / 35.5 - 37.5 °C
Introdurre il termometro in una delle due sacche, a sinistra o a
destra, accanto alla radice della lingua. Il sensore del termometro

deve essere bene in contatto con il tessuto. Chiudere la bocca e
respirare solo dal naso per non alterare la misurazione.
Tempo di misurazione approssimativo: 1 minuto!
Rettale / 36.6 - 38.0 °C
E’ il metodo più sicuro e particolarmente indicato per lattanti e
bambini. Introdurre con precauzione il sensore del termometro

nell’ano sino a un massimo di 2-3 cm.

Ascellare / 34.7 - 37.3 °C
Per ottenere risultati più affidabili raccomandiamo di misurare la
temperatura in modo orale o rettale. Raccomandiamo di mantenere
il termometro sotto l’ascella per almeno 5-10 minuti anche dopo
avere sentito il segnale acustico (beep) di fine misurazione.
Pulizia e disinfezione
Disinfettante: Alcol isopropilico 70 %; immersione max. 24 ore.
Sostituzione delle batterie
Quando appare il simbolo «
» (triangolo capovolto) sulla destra del
display, la batteria è esaurita e deve essere sostituita. Aprire il coperchio
del vano batteria

e inserire la nuova batteria con la polarità «+» rivolta
verso l’alto. Assicurarsi che la nuova batteria sia dello stesso tipo. La
batteria può essere acquistata in qualsiasi negozio di materiale elettrico.

Description of this Thermometer
Important Safety Instructions
Follow instructions for use. This document provides important
product operation and safety information regarding this device.
Please read this document thoroughly before using the device and
keep for future reference.
The instrument may be used only for measuring body temperature!
The minimum measurement time until the beep is heard must be
maintained without exception!
Ensure that children do not use this device unsupervised; some
parts are small enough to be swallowed. Be aware of the risk of
strangulation in case this device is supplied with cables or tubes.
Do not use this device close to strong electromagnetic fields such as
mobile telephones or radio installations. Keep a minimum distance
of 3.3 m from such devices when using this device.
Protect the instrument from impact and dropping!
Avoid bending the tip more than 45°!
Avoid ambient temperatures above 60 °C. NEVER boil the instrument!
Use only the commercial disinfectants listed in the section «Cleaning
and Disinfecting» to clean the instrument. The instrument must be
intact when immersed in liquid disinfectant.
We recommend this instrument is tested for accuracy every two
years or after mechanical impact (e.g. being dropped). Please
contact Microlife-Service to arrange the test.

Turning on the Thermometer
To turn on the thermometer, press the ON/OFF button

; a short
beep signals «thermometer ON». A display test is performed. All
segments should be displayed.
Then at an ambient temperature of less than 32 °C, an «
L
» and a
flashing «
°C
» appear at the display field

. The thermometer is now
ready for use.
Function Test
Correct functioning of the thermometer is tested automatically each
time it is turned on. If a malfunction is detected (measurement inaccu-
racy), this is indicated by «
ERR
» on the display, and a measurement
becomes impossible. In this case, the thermometer must be replaced.
Using the Thermometer
Choose the preferred measuring method. When taking a measure-
ment, the current temperature is continuously displayed and the «
°C
»
symbol flashes. If the beep is heard 10 times and the «
°C
» is no longer
flashing, this means that the measured increase in temperature is less
than 0.1 °C in 16 seconds and that the thermometer can now be read.
To prolong the battery life, turn off the thermometer by briefly pressing
the ON/OFF button

. Otherwise the thermometer will automatically
turn off after about 10 minutes.
Storage of Measured Values
If the ON/OFF button
1
is pressed for more than 3 seconds when
turning on the thermometer, the automatically stored maximum
temperature during the last measurement will be displayed. At the
same time, a «
M
» for memory will appear on the display. About
3 seconds after the button is released, the temperature value disap-
pears and the thermometer is ready for measurement.
Measuring methods / Normal body temperature
In the mouth (oral) / 35.5 - 37.5 °C
Position the thermometer in one of the two pockets under the
tongue, to the left or right of the root of the tongue. The measuring
sensor

must be in good contact with the tissue. Close your mouth
and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent the measurement
from being influenced by inhaled/ exhaled air.
Approx. measuring time: 1 minute!
In the anus (rectal) / 36.6 - 38.0 °C
This is the most reliable measuring method, and is especially suit-
able for infants and small children. Carefully insert the measuring
sensor

of the thermometer 2 to 3 cm into the anal aperture.
Approx. measuring time: 1 minute!
In the armpit (axillary) / 34.7 - 37.3 °C
To receive more reliable results we recommend measuring tempera-
ture orally or rectally. A minimum measurement time of 5-10 minutes
is recommended regardless of the beep sound.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
Name: Isopropyl alcohol 70 %; immerse: max. 24 hours.
Battery Replacement
When the «
» symbol (upside-down triangle) appears at the display
field, the battery is flat and needs replacing. To replace the battery
remove the battery compartment cover

from the thermometer.
Insert the new battery with the + at the top. Make sure you have a
battery of the same type to hand. Batteries can be purchased at any
electrical store.
