Instruction Manual

Thank you for purchasing a Famili Kitchen Scale. Your famili scale is an example 
of superior design and craftsmanship. Please read this instruction manual carefully 
before use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.  

Battery Installation

NOTE

: please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.

WARNING

: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle 

batteries.

PRECAUTION:

 Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. 

Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period of time.

General Weighing Operation

1. Place the scale on a hard, level surface.

2. Press the “    

-ZERO

” button to turn the scale on. The display first shows 

 

“8888”, 

    then zero when it is ready for use. If the display does not show zero, 

 

press the 

    “    

-ZERO

” button to reset (tare) the scale to zero. The display 

 

will show “tArE”, 

    then zero. The scale is ready for use.

2. Remove screw (or screws) from the battery compartment cover on the bottom 
    of the scale and remove the cover. 

3. Remove the old battery 

 from the compartment.

5. Replace the battery compartment cover and screw(s).

6. Replace the batteries if “Lo” appears on the display, or the readings grow dim 
    or irregular.

1. This scale operates on 1 "CR2032" lithium battery (pre-installed). Note: If you
    have recently received your scale, you will not need to install a battery.

4. Place the new battery (not included) with the "+" sign up to the battery 
    compartment.

with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. 
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular 
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television 
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user 
is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following 
measures:

-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the 
 receiver is connected.

-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

One Year Limited Warranty

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship 
(excluding batteries) for one year for the original purchaser from date of retail 
purchase. It does not cover damages or wear resulting from accident, misuse, 
abuse, commercial use, or unauthorized adjustment and/or repair. If service 
is required, do not return to retailer. Should this product require service (or 
replacement at our option), please pack the item carefully and return it prepaid, 
along with store receipt showing the date of purchase and a note explaining 
reason for return to.
