Midlands Water Company.  

Please read through these instructions before carrying out your installation.

WATER STERLISATION 

INSTALLATION and REPLACEMENT

 INSTRUCTIONS

 

Transformer with PVC cap 

Rubber o-ring 

(Please note this is packed in 

a plastic bag and attached to the flex on the 

transformer. This is to prevent the o-ring be-

ing lost in the packaging or being mislaid. 

DO NOT DISCARD THESE O-RINGS. 

They 

are reusable and chargeable if you dispose 

of them 

This is the 

stainless steel chamber

. You will need to 

mount this appropriately to your particular application by 

using the separate brackets (where supplied) or the ones 

that are part of the unit. The chamber will need to be 

plumbed into your water supply/connected to your 

plumbing using the connectors shown (or similar). 

Quartz sleeve and lamp. 

HANDLE WITH CARE

. They are 

MADE OF FRAGILE GLASS. 

Avoid touching the centre 

part of the sleeve/lamp. Pick up and handle by both ends. 
The photograph shows the rubber o-ring in place on the 
sleeve, approximately 2cm from the open end.  

The lamp.  This is filled with special incandescent  
bearings which when heated, fluoresce and are a vital part 
of the way the lamp operates.  The bearings move around 
inside the lamp and you may detect a slight ‘rattle’. This is 
completely normal 

Mounting brackets (may differ when 

using UV with other water treatment 

systems, such as RO’s) 

Please check that you have all your components before commencing installation. Missing or 

broken elements can only be replaced immediately on receipt of goods and upon proof of 

damage. You should have the following elements;
