Quick Installation Guide

INTRODUCTION

A perfect solution for the mobile professional, the Belkin USB 
Numeric Keypad offers Plug-and-Play convenience for use 
on the road. Whenever you need to input numbers, simply 
plug it into the USB port on your notebook computer.

INSTALLATION (header)

If you are using Windows

®

2000, Me, or XP operating systems, simply plug in the USB

Numeric Keypad and it will work automatically.

Windows 98 

When you plug the USB cable into your PC, a dialog box will appear telling you that
Windows operating system has detected your new hardware and will then switch to
the “Add New Hardware Wizard” dialog box. Follow the steps below to install the
correct driver:

1. Click “Next”.

2. Select “Search for the best driver for your device”, then click “Next”.

3. Select “CD-ROM drive” or “Specify a location”. Note: If you know where the driver

is located, select “Browse” and direct the wizard to that location.

4. Select “The updated driver” and click “Next”.

5. Click “OK”. Windows will start copying the driver files to your computer.

6. Click “Finish” to end the installation.

Note: You will need either your Windows 98 CD or the CAB files on your hard drive 
(typically located at c:\windows\options\cabs folder to proceed with the installation.

USING YOUR KEYPAD

Your numeric keypad layout is designed to emulate the keypad layout on standard
keyboards.

By pressing the “NUM LOCK” key, located in the upper left corner, the numbers are
activated (LED is on).

Press the “NUM LOCK” key again (LED is off) and you can now use the function keys
such as “Enter”, “+”, “-“, “PgUp”, “PgDn”, etc.
