MI-7248PWR Specifications
This chapter describes the MI-7248PWR interface module.
4.1 MI-7248PWR Front Panel
The MI-7248PWR interface module has 48 1000Base-T RJ-45 ports that provide PoE (Power
over Ethernet). Use the MI-7248PWR with a MPC-7202 PoE power adaptor card and a MP-
7202 power injector. See
Section 7.5 on page 56 for how to install the power adaptor card and
see Section 8.3 on page 62 for how to connect it.
The following figure shows the MI-7248PWR front panel. See Section 8.1 on page 59 for
details on making the hardware connections.

4.2 MI-7248PWR LEDs
After you connect the power to the switch, view the LEDs to ensure proper functioning of the
switch and as an aid in troubleshooting.
Table 13 MI-7248PWR LED Descriptions
LED COLOR STATUS DESCRIPTION
PWR Green On The interface module is turned on.
Off The interface module is off.
PoE Green On PoE power is ready.
Off PoE power is not ready.
SYS Green Blinking The interface module is rebooting and performing self-
diagnostic tests.
On The interface module is on and functioning properly.
Off The power is off or the interface module is malfunctioning/
not ready.
