The following table describes the labels in this screen.

Status Screen

DESCRIPTION
Status
This displays the current status of the MAX-506’s WiMAX
connection. The possible states are:
Radio Disabled - The utility is off. Click the Connect button to
switch it on.
No Device - The utility cannot detect the MAX-506. Connect
the MAX-506 to a USB port on your computer.
No Drivers - The utility cannot detect the device drivers for the
MAX-506. See
for possible solutions.
Scanning - The MAX-506 is searching for an available WiMAX
base station. If no base stations are in range, then the utility
remains in this mode while it is on. Click the On/Off button to
turn it off.
Connecting - The MAX-506 is the process of connecting to a
WiMAX base station.
Connected - The MAX-506 is successfully registered to a
WiMAX base station.
Downlink Speed
This field displays how fast in Megabits per second (Mbps) the
MAX-506 is receiving data.
Uplink Speed
This field displays how fast in Megabits per second (Mbps) the
MAX-506 is sending data.
Connected
This field displays how long the utility has been connected to
the WiMAX network in hours, minutes, and seconds.
Signal
Displays a visual representation of the quality of your WiMAX
connection.
Disconnected - Zero bars
Poor reception - One bar
Good reception - Two bars
Excellent reception - Three bars
