Anonymous
Identity
Enter the anonymous identity provided by your Internet Service
Provider (ISP).
Anonymous identity (also known as outer identity) is used with EAP-
TTLS encryption (Extensible Authentication Protocol - Tunnelled
Transport Layer Security). The anonymous identity is used to route
your authentication request to the correct authentication server, and
does not reveal your real user name. Your real user name and
password are encrypted in the TLS tunnel, and only the anonymous
identity can be seen.
Leave this field blank if your ISP did not give you an anonymous
identity to use.
Authentication
This indicates the user authentication method to be used when
connecting to the WiMAX network.
The MAX-506 supports the following user authentication methods:
• EAP TTLS (Tunnelled Transport Layer Security)
• EAP TLS (Transport Layer Security)
Note: This field is pre-configured by your ISP.
