1.7 The RESET Button
If you forget your password or cannot access the Web Configurator, you will need to use the
RESET
button of the Zyxel Device as shown in the following figure to reload the factory-default configuration
file. This means that you will lose all configurations that you had previously saved, the password will be
reset to
1234
and the IP address will be reset to
192.168.1.1
.

Make sure the Zyxel Device is connected to power and LED is on.

To set the Zyxel Device back to the factory default settings, press the
RESET
button for 5 seconds.
Note: If you press the
RESET
button for more than 2 seconds but less than 5 seconds, it will
cause the system to reboot.
