Table 2-1 Alarm Levels
Level
Description
Critical
Indicates that the normal service is affected severely and that the alarm must be
cleared immediately.
Major
Indicates a symptom affecting the normal service. This alarm must be cleared
immediately.
Minor
Indicates that a factor not affecting the normal services exists in the system.
Corrective actions are required to prevent worse problems.
Warning
Indicates a potential problem or a problem that may affect the normal service soon.
A diagnosis is required to prevent the alarm from becoming a worse problem that
affects normal service operation.
Steps
1.
On the navigation bar in the Web page of the
BMC
, select
Alarm > Current Alarm
.
The
Current Alarm
page is displayed, see
Figure 2-1
.

(Optional) Under
Query Filter
, select the filter criteria, and then click
Query
to query
the current alarms meeting the criteria.
If no filter criteria are set, all current alarms are displayed.
3.
(Optional) Select one or multiple current alarms,
and then acknowledge,
unacknowledge, or delete them.

Acknowledging an alarm converts the alarm from the
Unacknowledge
status to
the
Acknowledge
status. It is recommended that you acknowledge an alarm
before you handle it.
l
If you cannot clear the alarm, you can return this alarm to the unacknowledged
status.
