3.8 Troubleshooting Hard Disks
Run the appropriate diagnostic test. Depending on the results of the diagnostics test,
perform the following steps:
1.
Restart the system, and press
F10
during system startup to run the
Lifecycle
Controller
, and then run the
Hardware Configuration
wizard to check the RAID
configuration.
2.
Ensure that the hard drives have been configured correctly for the RAID array. If a
hard drive in the RAID is faulty, keep the hard drive offline and reset the drive.
3.
Exit the configuration utility and allow the system to boot to the operating system.
4.
Ensure that the required device drivers are installed and configured correctly.
5.
Verify that the controller is enabled and the drives are displayed in the
System Setup
.
3.9 Troubleshooting Expansion Cards
Run the appropriate diagnostic test. Depending on the results of the diagnostics test,
perform the following steps:
1.
Turn off the system and its peripherals, and disconnect the system from the power
source.
2.
Open the cabinet cover plate.
3.
Ensure that each expansion card is firmly installed in its connector.
4.
Close the cabinet cover plate, and power on the system.
5.
If the fault persists, open the cabinet cover plate, remove all expansion cards, and
then install them again.
6.
Close the cabinet cover plate.
