7.23 COUNTERWEIGHT OPERATION
Counterweight removal or assembly must be performed with two personnel to
ensure no damage occurs.
Do not start A/C system while counterweight cylinders are in use.
A. The components of the counterweight are as follows (Refer to Figure 07
–
57):
Counterweight cylinders (left and right)
Counterweight lock pins
Spring pins
Counterweight plate

B. Assembly (with counterweight on the chassis front)
(1) Rotate superstructure with boom over the rear until the counterweight cylinder is
aligned with Point A in the Figure 07
