Note:
The IP Address you assign for all computers must be in the same IP Address range, and
the Subnet Mask must be the same for all computers on your network. For example:
If the first computer is assigned an IP Address of 10.35.1.3 with a Subnet Mask of
255.255.255.0, then the second computer can be assigned an IP Address of
10.35.1.4 with a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0,.. etc.
5. After obtaining IP configuration information from the appropriate IT staff, click
OK
in both
“
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties
” and
“Local Area Connection Properties
” to
complete the IP configuration.
6. Choose
Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
to open the DOS
command prompt window.
