DISPOSE WATER

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Automatic Shut-Off Function

Allow the Inner Container to cool, fill with water then press the 

ON button again. (Doing so may cause scalding.)

All repairs and other services should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Do not plug or unplug the Power Plug or touch the Connector with wet 

hands. (Doing so may cause electric shock or injury.)

When opening the Upper Lid, be careful with the loose water from the 

Steam Vent or the Upper Lid splashing on your hands. (Doing so may 

cause scalding.)

Do not allow hot water to splash on the Control Panel, Body or the bottom 

of the Body. (Doing so may cause scalding or breakdown.)

Dispose the water at least once a day. (Leaving water in the Inner 

Container can accumulate scale.)

If  the  product  is  switched  ON  without  filling  the  Inner  Container  with  water,  the 

Automatic Shut-Off function activates and the power is shut down and the Boil Light 

turns off.

Remedy

Remove the Body from the Power Base by holding the Handle and tilt 

it to discard hot water from the Spout.

Discard left over water after each use, 

emptying the Inner Container completely.

NOTE

NOTE

Do not turn the product upside down if the bottom is wet. (Water may get inside 

the body and cause it to break or rust.)

Do  not  use  a  thinner,  benzene,  abrasive  cleansers  or  brushes  (nylon/metal),  bleach  or 

anything that may damage the surface of the product. (May cause damages to the Inner 

Lid and the Inner Container.)

Do not use a dishwasher for cleaning or drying. (May cause the plastic parts to deform.)

Before storing the product for a long period of time, dry it completely and pack in a plastic 

bag to prevent odors from developing.

Inner Container

Especially when...

Wipe clean with a well-wrung soft cloth.

Wipe with a soft wet sponge.

Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth.

Never wash the product under running 

water, nor immerse it in water. Do not 

allow water to splash on the Control 

Panel, Receptacle and Connector. (Doing 

so may cause water to get inside the 

product, resulting in malfunction or rust.)

Perform the Citric Acid Cleaning (see 

pg.13) periodically.

Red rust-like spotting is visible on the 

Inner Container.

Milky white or gray discoloration and/or 

filmy objects are found in the water.

(The  condition  of  the  Inner  Container  will 

vary  depending  on  the  water  quality  and 

frequency of use.)
