Connection to a skimmer
For optimum operation, the leaf trap should be positioned vertically at the surface of the water.
3. Use
3.1 Starting up
•
Clean the pool manually and ensure that the filtration system and the skimmer baskets are clean.
• Direct the discharge nozzles downwards to ensure the cleaning covers the whole pool.
•
Close the bottom plug hole of your pool.
•
Stop the filtration pump.
To avoid serious injury, ensure the cleaner's vacuum pump is not operating.
Do not expose your hair, loose clothing, jewellery etc. to the open end of the hose.
•
Connect the flow regulator valve to the first section of the hose, which
holds the float.
•
Immerse the cleaner body and fill it with water.
• When no more air bubbles escape from the cleaner, connect the hose,
attaching the flow regulator valve to the cleaner.
•
Let the cleaner sink to the bottom of the pool.
•
Temporarily disconnect the hose from the skimmer or suction line.
•
Switch on the filtration pump.
• Fill the hose with water by placing the end in front of a discharge nozzle
until it is completely full.
•
Stop the pump and reconnect the hose to the skimmer or suction line.
3.2. Adjusting the flow and optimising the performance of the cleaner
The cleaner's ability to climb the sides depends on the shape of the pool and the water flow rate available.
There are two parts specially designed to ensure the correct water flow rate within the cleaner:
1. the
flow regulator valve;
2. the
Flowkeeper valve
.
Adjusting these components will protect the cleaner's parts and extend their lifetime.
The flow regulator valve
includes a yellow and red indicator. When the
flow is normal, only the yellow part is visible. If the water flow becomes
excessive, the indicator moves up, revealing the red part.
In this case, you must adjust the flow by doing the following:
Evaluate the flow rate
The rotation speed of the wheels is a good indicator of how the water is circulating inside the cleaner.
