Escapade
a. Bend upper and lower tabs outward at an angle greater than 45° but less than 70° with thin nose pliers (FIG. 18).
b. Place upright on foot plate. Squeeze the upright near the bottom tabs, making sure the bottom tabs of the upright are in the
slots of the foot plate (FIG. 18).
c. Fasten uprights to foot plates with one #10 x 1/2" sheet metal screw (FIG. 18).
d. Hook the back flange of the top plate over the wall stabilizer then fasten top plate to upright with one #10 x 1/2" sheet metal
screw (FIG. 18). Squeeze the upright near the top tabs, making sure the top tabs of the upright are in the slots of the top plate
(FIG. 18).
e. Using your carpenter's level, make sure the uprights are plumb.
