Warning
Should the pressure exceed the limits permissible in the cuff, remove immediately.
Reapply and repeat. If the pressure is still excessive, contact service personnel
before further use.
Measuring
Procedure
The blood pressure is measured automatically. You are not required to control the
inflating pressure or the deflating rate since the system automatically determines
these parameters.
The following measuring procedures must be distinguished:
§
Manual single measurement
outside the ergometry program
§
Initial measurement / Analytical measurement
at the start of the
ergometry program
§
Automatic measurement
during the ergometry program
§
Manual intermediate measurement
during the ergometry program
Starting the Procedure
Generally, the ergometer or the controlling unit (ECG recorder or PC) triggers the
measuring procedure.
However, you can always make single or intermediate measurements.
Manual Single
Measurement
Pressing the “NIP“ button starts the measuring procedure. The determined results
are displayed in the following way:
During the measurement the ‘SYS’ field shows the momentary pressure.
After the measurement is completed, the determined pressure values are shown
by the ‘SYS’and ‘DIA’ indicators.
Note: Not all ECGs or PC ECGs will include the results of manually
started measurements in the ergometry log.
Interrupting a
Measurement
Pressing the “NIP“ button while a measuring procedure is in progress interrupts
the measuring cycle.
