SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Intended Use
1.1
The rapeseed/canola crop divider may only be used for the harvesting of rapeseed/canola. It has the task, to separate the en-
twined stalks and branches of the rapeseed/canola plants. For this purpose it must be vertically mounted as an accessory de-
vice to the lateral walls of the harvester cutting table (see Diagram 2).
Any further use shall be deemed as not intended. The manufacturer shall not assume any liability for any respectively caused
consequential damage. The respective risk is at the sole responsibility of the user.
General Safety and Accident Prevention Regulations

Before any commissioning of the device, it must be checked for operational safety and roadworthiness!
2)
Next to the instructions contained in the operating instructions, also comply with the generally relevant safety and accident
prevention regulations!
3)
The warning and notice shields attached to the device contain important information for the safe operation. The accord-
ance with the same serves for your safety! These notices must be maintained so that they can be clearly read!
4)
No personnel may reside within the working area of the rapeseed/canola crop divider nor the head of the harvester!
5)
When leaving the cab of the harvester or when performing repairs to remedy malfunctions, deactivate both the rape-
seed/canola divider and the harvester head. Shut off the harvester motor and remove the key. Secure the harvester
against rolling (stop brake)!
6)
The knife protection device may only be removed directly prior to mowing on the field!
7)
For the operation of the harvester and the harvester head, it is strictly necessary to comply with the respective operating
instructions!
Hydraulic System

When connecting the hydraulic hoses to the harvester hydraulic system, it is necessary to ensure that both the hydraulic
system of the harvester and the divider are depressurized!
2)
Regularly check the hydraulic hoses of the hydraulic system for damage and repair or exchange the same, if damage or
worn! The hoses deployed for exchange must comply with the specifications of the device manufacturer!
3)
Any liquids that are discharged at high pressure (hydraulic oil) may penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries which are
not visible from the exterior! In the event of an injury, immediately seek medical attention!
4)
Before performing any tasks at the hydraulic system, lower the harvester header, depressurize the system, shut down the
motor, and pull off the ignition key!
Maintenance and Repair

Before performing any maintenance or repair tasks at the divider or head in lifted condition, always mechanically secure
the same, e.g. with support elements!
2)
Regularly perform checks at nuts and screws for tight fit and retighten, if necessary! Commence with such checks after ap-
proximately the first 5 operating hours.
3)
Any deployed spare parts must comply with the technical specifications of the device manufacturer! This is only given
through the use of original spare parts!
4)
Only use operating material as specified. Dispose of used operating material according to the regulations!
5)
When working at the mowing knives, always wear protective gloves!
