Connecting to a DTE (Router or FRAD)
Procedure
1
Connect one end of the DTE’s V.35 cable to the data port.

Plug the other end of the cable into the DTE.
3
Tighten the screws on each side of the connector to secure the cable.

Verify that the Port OK LED is on. If it is, the port is set up correctly and is operational. If
not, make sure both ends of the cable are properly seated and secured. Then, check the DTE;
RTS or DTR could be down on the DTE.
5
Check Health and Status messages in the left column of the System and Test Status screen
for messages.
