Diesel particle filter
The exhaust system of a tractor is equipped with a diesel particle filter which serves for cleaning
exhaust fumes. Solid particles (carbon particles) are collected and burned in diesel particle filter which
originate by burning diesel.
Filter of solid particles - indication of operation and failures of the system
P18N058
The operation of the particulate filter is indicated by three indicator lights (1), (2) and (3) on the
instrument panel. Switching on the green control indicator light (1) on the instrument panel while the engine
is running indicates that the conditions for filter regeneration are optimal. The flashing of the indicator light
indicates that the regeneration of the particulate filter is being performed. Switching on the orange control
indicator light (3) on the instrument panel while the engine is running indicates that there is a less serious
fault in the DPF system. Illumination of the control indicator light (3) is accompanied by the illumination of the
corresponding fault indicator light, an acoustic signal and an error message on the instrument panel display.
Switching on the red control indicator light (2) on the instrument panel while the engine is running indicates
that there is a serious fault in the DPF system. Illumination of the control indicator light (2) is accompanied by
the illumination of the corresponding fault indicator light, an acoustic signal and an error message on the
instrument panel display.
