Due to the risk of pinching and chafing, which can lead in turn to short circuits and cable fires, the earth and
supply cables must be routed outside the clamping yoke (see illustrations). They must also be far enough
away from the edges so they cannot chafe. Make sure that when fitted to the chassis and other vehicle
parts, the cables do not chafe against edges etc. In general, care must be taken when laying all the cables
in order to obtain a longer cable service life and to reduce the risk of unnecessary stoppages.
