12 - D2O FL1 Product Manual

4.1  INTRODUCTION

There are 2 interfaces available on the D2O FL1.  The 8-Pin M12 Connector,

located centrally, is the interface port that connects to the flow meter.  The

4-Pin M12 Connector is used to connect the D2O FL1 to a computer via the

4-Pin M12 to USB-A Cable

 during the commissioning process.

4.2  4-PIN M12 TO USB-A CABLE

To program and commission the D2O FL1 via the Serial Terminal software,

4-Pin M12 to USB-A Cable

(sold separately) is required.  The 4-Pin M12

connector interfaces to the matching port on the underside of the D2O FL1

unit.

Cable

.  One end of the cable has the 8-Pin M12 Female Interface and the other

has 8 ferruled capped wires to enable custom wiring.

The pin arrangement for the female connector and the corresponding wire

colours are shown in the diagram below.  Once connected to the D2O, their

corresponding functions are shown in the table.

Wires that are not used can be cut off.
