Air cleaner
IMPORTANT
●
Engine performance drops if the pre-filter or felt filter becomes clogged.
Operating the engine with the pre- filter, felt filter, deformed, damaged pre-
filter or felt filter will cause abnormal wear inside the engine.

After mounting the air cleaner cover, move it lightly by hand to check it will
not come off. If the air cleaner is mounted insecurely, it may come off
during operation and result in the pre-filter or felt filter dropping off and
getting lost.
At the end of the work day, remove the air
cleaner cover and check how dirty the pre-filter
is. Remove adhering dirt in the air cleaner cover
with a brush or similar tool.

If the pre-filter is extremely dirty, wash it
carefully with hot water containing neutral
detergent. Dry it thoroughly before putting it
back and install it in its original position.
●
If the felt filter is extremely dirty, replace it with
a new one.
●
Replace the pre-filter and felt filter if they
become deformed or damaged.
NOTE
• The pre-filter is a dry type.
• Do not wash the pre-filter with organic solvents.
