Muffler
CAUTION
●
When inspecting the blower before starting work, check for loose bolts and
muffler damage or rust. If the muffler is incorrectly mounted, it may become
loose during operation and result in hot exhaust gas being emitted. If
exhaust gas leaks out, stop the engine immediately and request inspection
and repair from your place of purchase.
●
To prevent the risk of burns from hot parts, do not touch the muffler with
bare hands immediately the engine is stopped.
IMPORTANT
●
Carbon deposits accumulating in the muffler will lead to poor engine power
and startability.
●
Muffler or diffuser mounting bolts that have not been fully tightened may
become loose during operation and cause engine fires.
After roughly every 100 hours of operation,
remove and inspect the muffler.
●
Remove any carbon deposits that have
accumulated inside the muffler.
●
Check that the diffuser’s two mounting bolts
are fastened securely.
