MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance before carrying out any
maintenance operation.
Periodical cleaning
Clean the interior periodically with lukewarm water
and some bicarbonate of soda.
Idle periods
During periods when the appliance is not in use, take
the following precautions:
unplug the appliance from the power supply;
remove all foodstuffs from the appliance;
defrost the appliance and clean the interior and all
accessories;
leave the doors ajar to facilitate the circulation of air
in the interior of the cabinet so as to prevent
unpleasant odours from accumulating in the
appliance.
Interior light
The light bulb inside the refrigerator compartment can
be reached as follows:
ª
unscrew the light cover securing screws;
ª
unhook the moving part by pressing it as shown in
the figure.
If the door is open and the light does not come on,
check that the bulb is properly screwed in; if it still
does not work, replace the bulb with one of the same
power.
The maximum rating is shown on the light cover.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
If the appliance is not working properly, before
calling the service center, please check the following:
The light does not turn on when the door is opened
Make sure there is electricity supply; if there is,
replace the bulb.
The compressor does not work
Make sure there is electricity supply, and that the
thermostat knob is on a working position.
The compressor works uninterruptedtly
The thermostat knob is set on too high a position.
Water on the bottom of the refrigerator
compartment
Make sure the hole for defrost water drainage is not
clogged (Fig. 16).
If your appliance is still not working properly after
making the above checks, contact the nearest service
centre.
To obtain fast service, it is essential that when you
apply for it you specify the model & serial number of
your appliance which can be found either in the
warranty or on the rating plate.
