Cleaning and Maintenance
Switch the oven off and let it cool down before
any cleaning or maintenance operation.
This appliance cannot be cleaned with steam
or with a steam cleaning machine.
Before carrying out maintenance and cleaning
operations, make sure that your oven is
disconnected from the mains power supply.
General cleaning
Cleaning must be carried out after the oven
has cooled down. Wash the enamelled parts
with lukewarm water and detergent. Do not
use abrasive products, such as steel wool pads,
acids etc. since these could damage the various
surfaces.
Rinse stainless steel parts with water after use,
and dry them with a soft cloth or chamois
leather.
In the case of persistent stains, you can use
normal non-abrasive detergents or products
specific for stainless steel readily available on
the market.
Another alternative is a drop of hot vinegar.
When cleaning the oven door with the glass
top cover use just hot water, taking care to
avoid using coarse cloths or abrasive products.
When using sprays suitable for oven cleaning
avoid using them on the fan, on the thermo-
stat sensor and on the back panel located in
the oven interior space.
The hot acids of fruit (e.g. Iemons, stewed
prunes, etc.) leave difficult-to-remove stains
on the enamelled surfaces; this inconvenient
may remove enamel gloss, but, it does not
impair oven operation.
Clean the oven thoroughly after use; in this
way it will be possible to remove cooking
residuals more easily, thus avoiding these from
burning the next time the oven is used.
Oven cleaning sprays must not be used on the
fan and on the thermostat sensorthat are inside
the oven.
Enamelled parts
The enamel is a hard layer similar to glass
and therefore very delicate when using hard
and sharp edged objects. The enamel surface
may be damaged if hard objects are dropped
onto it and the enamel may chip off.
Do not cover the inner walls of the oven with
tin foil.
Do not place plates or similar objects directly
on the bottom enamelled surface.
These objects compromise the heat distribution
and form a barrier to the heat, thus spoiling
the outcome of the dish or damaging the
enamel.
If these instructions are not followed the
guarantee condition falls.
Removing the self-cleaning oven
panels
(optionals)
In order to remove any fatty residue that might
be deposited underneath the self-cleaning
panels, the latter should be periodically
dismantled as follows.
Disconnect the appliance from the electric
supply. Remove the bottom dripping pan..
Unscrew the side runners (Fig. 6). Pull
outwards the lateral panels sliding them out
so as to free them from their pins (Fig. 7).
Unscrew the back panel (Fig. 8).
To avoid damaging the enamel or difficulties
in introducing the shelves or the dripping pan,
check to see there is a perfect fit between the
panel slots and the corresponding pins (Fig.6).
